Michi Poindexter is a local portrait artist raised in Texas with a Associate in Photography from Collin College and a Bachelors in Photography with a minor in Women and Gender Studies at Texas Woman’s University. They are an experimental artist and is influenced by experiences in their personal life that affect society as a whole. These include identity issues as a twin, intersectional feminism, especially gender, women and animal/environmental, the media and medical issues. Some images reflect on the small things in life people over look that attribute to a larger picture and others are dramatic narratives of an inner emotion brought to life.
